Mission Statement
It is our goal to fairly and openly administer the regulations of development as set forth by the City of Margate’s Master Plan and Land Use Ordinance, Chapter 175 in order to ensure the health, safety, and general welfare of the citizens and visitors of the City of Margate.
Our staff is available to assist all members of our community who may require action by the Planning Board. The Zoning Officer, Roger McLarnon, is available to provide efficient and timely review, as well as to clarify the regulations of our ordinance and outside jurisdictions, such as FEMA, NJDEP, and more. To meet with the Zoning Officer, we recommend scheduling an appointment by emailing him directly at mclarnon_roger@margate-nj.com.
