Registrar of Vital Statistics

The local Registrar of Vital Statistics records all marriages, births and deaths which occur in the City of Margate City, New Jersey.

Office hours are Monday through Friday 9am to 3pm *Excluding Holidays

Instructions on what documents and information are needed for a marriage, civil union, and domestic partnership licenses  can be found on the New Jersey Department of Health Vital Statistics website, www.nj.gov/health/vital.

To obtain a certified copy:  Print and Fill out this Non-Genealogical Application for a Certified Copy form with instructions for: 

• Birth occurring within the last 80 years or if the individual is still living
• Marriage occurring within the last 50 years
• All civil union and domestic partnership records
• Deaths occurring within the last 40 years  

To Obtain a certified copy:  Print and Fill out this Genealogical Application for a Certified Copy form with instructions for:

• Birth occurring more than 80 years ago
• Marriages occurring more than 50 years ago
• Deaths occurring more than 40 years ago
