Construction Inspection Information
Inspection Procedures:
After obtaining a permit, construction work must undergo inspection in accordance with the New Jersey Uniform Construction Code. Notify the Building Department at least 24 hours before the desired inspection time. Inspections shall be performed within three business days of the time for which it was requested.

When requesting an inspection, provide the following details:
PERMIT NUMBER
ADDRESS OF CONSTRUCTION SITE
SUBCODE AND TYPE OF INSPECTION
PREFERRED DATE OF INSPECTION
CONTRACTOR'S NAME AND PHONE NUMBER
NOTE: The inspection is NOT scheduled until you receive a confirmation with the date of the appointment.
INSPECTION SCHEDULE:
Building inspections are performed Monday through Friday.
Electrical, Fire, Plumbing, and Mechanical inspections are performed on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
INSPECTION REQUIREMENTS:
Ensure safe access to the site and maintain proper construction site upkeep.
Public sidewalks must be obstruction-free at all times.
Post a Construction Permit Notice conspicuously at the work site, remaining until a certificate is issued.
Keep approved plans on-site for all inspections.
